KANU to join NASA ?

A section of Kenya African National Union party (KANU) has threatened to withdraw their support from Jubilee party and president Uhuru Kenyatta, after accusing Deputy President William Ruto of undermining some of its leaders.

KANU Chairman Gideon Moi says Kanu will be holding a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss the issue before making a decision. “We are experiencing reckless statements from the Jubilee side, which is not safe for the two sides but I am meeting the president in person to discuss the matter,” Moi said.

Speaking during the launch of the party’s Narok Governor Candidate Silvester Ntutu in Narok, Moi asked the DP to respect other people.

“It is disheartening to see elected leaders threatened to the point they cannot express their views, the Deputy President should respect other leaders,”he adedd.

The Baringo senator’s sentiments come after Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno, and Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat warned Jubilee against undermining leaders from the Rift Valley region.

“We are telling Uhuru to tame Samoei Ruto, if he doesn’t, we will divert our votes to Nasa,” said Ngeno.

“We are decided that out choice for presidency in 2022 is Gideon Moi, I want to tell this guy, to stop dreaming of the seat,’Ngeno added.

Kanu Secretary General warned that garnering 50 percent plus one vote will be a pipe dream if President Kenyatta does not tame DP William Ruto, who he accused of undermining leaders from his backyard.

Kanu has threatened to join the opposition National Super Alliance if Deputy President William Ruto does not stop his behavior.
